This is accomplished by:
1) establishing evangelical port ministries where none exist,
2) training local Christians to serve the spiritual, emotional, and physical needs of seafarers, and
3) developing strategies and methods of evangelism and discipleship for ministering to seafarers.
These activities will be conducted to the highest of ethical and professional standards.*

* It is our ministry policy to refrain from entering crew and officer accommodations unless escorted by a crew member, and to avoid contact or touching that could be interpreted as culturally or sexually inappropriate.
While it is our desire for all to know Jesus Christ as their saviour, we realize everyone has a right to beliefs they hold dear. Therefore we first encourage faith in God, and when it is timely and appropriate we will present Jesus Christ as Saviour with respect and courtesy.
Port of Hope Ministries is of the evangelical tradition and maintains a strong Biblical position in its theological stand.
