Practical Chaplaincy
"Wherever two or three people are gathered together
there should be a chaplain in their midst."

Wherever we go there is a need for Christians to meet other Christians and non-Christians and demonstrate the love and compassion of Christ.

But how do we step into other people's lives?
How do we become credible witnesses for Christ without being
          obnoxious?
How do we deal with a society that says everyone's path to God is valid?
Should evangelism be our one and only goal?
How do I share Christ with someone who wants nothing to do with
         'religion'?
How can I step in when someone is in a crisis?

The key is to meet people as they participate in a structured group or recreational activity, and get permission from their director to tend to the spiritual needs of the group.

The following courses will help a person get that permission to enter into the lives of others and help them become a credible spiritual leader of that group.

The Practical Chaplaincy Basic Course is 10 hours of information that will introduce the participant to methods that will help them become the chaplain or spiritual leader in a work group, civic organization, sports team, ministry focus group such as local restaurant or hospitality workers...or any of a hundred other places.

The Practical Chaplaincy Advanced Course is a 3-hour session that will deal with specific issues of chaplain care and help them establish a chaplain-style ministry.

In addition, consider adding on the Ministry to Blue Collar Workers seminar. Most of the people a chaplain meets are blue collar workers. They are some of the most straight-forward, tell-you-what-they-think and caring people around yet they are often under-represented or missing from many churches. This is a 3-hour session that will help Christian workers understand the society, economics, values and worldview of the blue collar worker.

Ministry to Blue Collar Workers will help Christian workers understand the society, economics, values and worldview of the blue collar worker.  They will learn how to minister to them and help them toward Christian service and spiritual maturity. This is a 'must' for pastors and church workers, many of whom earned their way to their 'white collar' position by doing 'blue collar' work.
